Australian Bushfire Consulting Services is owned and operated by Wayne Tucker. Wayne has in excess of 15 years experience in both practical and theoretical terms within the sphere of bushfire hazard assessment and application of bushfire mitigation measures.
Wayne has an extensive background in assisting developments from conception and design through to providing suitable reports for approval, material advice for construction and final inspection for occupation on all types of development on bushfire prone land.
Wayne has wide spread experience in working closely with ecologist (flora and fauna experts), arborists (tree assessment experts), planners, architects and other experts to provide a collaborative approach to delivering positive and uniformed focus on customers needs.
Wayne has completed a course in Middle Management Development from the University of NSW and Certificate IV in Fire Technology 2005, graduating with Distinction. He has also completed the Graduate Diploma in Bushfire Design at University of Western Sydney and is a member of the Institute of Fire Engineering at Graduate level.
Wayne’s qualifications combined with his experience and the companies membership with the Fire Protection Association Australia (FPAA) enables him to be a Level 3 Bushfire Planning and Design (BPAD) recognised practitioner through the FPAA accreditation scheme. This enables him to provide deemed to satisfy reports or alternate solutions for Council applications and BAL Certificates (Bushfire Attack Level Certificates) for Complying Development approvals.
Wayne is a past member of the Berowra & Berowra Waters Rural Fire Brigades and past Deputy Captain and President of the Berowra Rural Fire Brigade. This has provided him with vast experience in small and large-scale operational control of bushfires. Wayne has additional credentials in analytical chemistry and has further experience in production machinery, staff training and fluid hydraulics
